Have you ever wondered what would happen if you mixed a dating app with the security and privacy features of the Fediverse? Well, I did.
The Fediverse is a collection of thousands of different servers run by different people, all across the globe, and they allow their users to talk to each other without requiring them to make new accounts. How cool is that? Because the Fediverse is so good at connecting people, it's surprising it took this long for someone to make a dating app for it.
In December of 2018, I started working on a Fediverse-based dating app called Amore, but in late spring of 2019 I realized it needed a different approach. That approach is Federama. Federama will be a PHP framework that works with the Fediverse. It's as easy to install and configure as WordPress, but with the Fediverse features of Mastodon, Pleroma, and others.
At this point, there are no tiers or perks for giving me money, other than earning my gratitude. Once I have Federama working with other Fediverse applications, I'll introduce sponsorships and tiers to fund it's continued development.
